My thinking was to blame it on the actual City, possibly due to the Roads, the heavy Car traffic??
The Tram seems good for me from Bury. As soon as it gets to Victoria and then in and around the Centre it becomes Bobbins. And it's been like this before Work commenced on Victoria station.
I do agree that the Club need to be more involved with GMPTE though, possibly by organising tram times suited for the future 60,000+ sell out crowds that will be entering/leaving the Etihad campus.

You can actually buy a combined rail & tram ticket to the Etihad on the train - I only found this out myself today and it worked out cheaper than buying separate tickets.

Metrolink is garbage.
Don't understand why all yellow trams don't go to Etihad on match days for 2 hours before and an hour after games.
It really would be so much easier. But no they continue with these 'specials' from Victoria to to the Etihad which are just so hit and miss.

I said this 5 years ago , Manchester needs an underground!! The traffic on congested roads make the system slow, so it was never going to be the answer. The Trams going to Ashton after the game is a joke. I paid for a season ticket and I've now stated driving to the match again.

This is the trouble with the transport system in this country, it's run by idiots, you couldn't imagine the people than run transport in Germany doing this, ie engineering works on a Saturday with a match on.
