"Metrolink puts tram service on for football and music fans"

Don't know enough about the service to know if this will help with anxieties about the new arena on matchdays, but it sounds like good news?

It suggests that it's just the 'alternate' lines that end in the evenings, and don't run on Sundays.

So twice as many trams during offpeak times. They appear to already have extra trams running before and after matches, so not sure if these will stop, or whether we'll get the extra ones as well.

All be cancelled for "engineering works" for a big home game as usual.
Just as a side note. My lad went to get one on the Alty line today but they weren't running. He couldn't find out why and decided to get the bus..... it broke down.

What a shit City we live in.

I don't know why Manchester City has not bought 2 or 3 trams and decorated them in the club colours and badge and used them on match days
Because thick scousers will confuse the tram for a bus and throw bottles at it.

The Metrolink system for east manchester is shit and badly run, Forget the so-new system and more trams for football or concerts at the new COOP because fans will still be pressed in like sardines in a tin wanting to get on the first tram that turns up,

I don't know the ruling on how many tram carriages can be used under one single tram pulling them, or can they stack 2 or 3 double trams one in one out system, Anyway it's about a 15-minute walk to town or Piccadilly station and it's a great walk when we have won or a good way to get it off your cheat if we have lost

Not like Maine Road 30 to 45-minute walk depending on the weather or DOG and Horse shit dodging

TBF, no matter where you go in the world, which city, or which metro system, underground or overground you use, football fans are always pressed in like sardines. It was like that before and after the CL final in Istanbul, as an example.
