"Altrincham services that previously ran to Etihad Campus terminating at Piccadilly."

This obviously impacts myself but does anyone know the reason behind this change? What happens when you get to Piccadilly?

And why does "Services from MediaCityUK will run to Etihad Campus (previously Piccadilly)" get a direct train?

The actual answer, which is of no help to us Blues, is that the Altrincham service was constantly running late, with the result that trams would almost always bunch up and many would be turned back at Timperley to try to regulate the frequency. By hacking out the run to t'Etihad and by buggering up the platforms at Alty, they have actually (believe it or not) achieved their aim of a stable 6 minute service now. However, it's at the expense of passengers having to choose whether or not to leg it round the station to get the first tram, and by us not getting our direct tram to the ground. Sorry, but that's the official reason.....

Annoyingly, their fix after the West Brom game was to lay on a completely unnanounced tram or two to Alty after the match which is, if anything, a worse idea than removing them in the first place - will they run on Saturday? who knows?

I see work started today on the extension to the Trafford Centre, with guess what. A stop at the Swamp.
So they will now have a stop on their doorstep as well as two in close proximity.
Cricket Ground and Quays.
This is not a dig at them but they will be served by three stations whilst we have to put up with the shit service from one.

Long overdue for the Trafford Centre. I never go by road as when that lot are at home as the queues in from the south can mean a two hour trek to buy a t-shirt.

The number of people makes it a pain no matter what. However the after match service is appalling, mainly due to lack of double tram frequency. Increase that for 30- 45 mins after the game and we're away.

From what i see the Greater Manchester transport delivers on the orders of the mayor and the GMCA. So whats is all this about Burnham's frustration with not having input on the metro?

"We deliver the transport policies set by the Greater Manchester Mayor and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority."
