Micah Richards - new leaf?

The thing is for Micah he has everything to gain and nothing to loose. If he gets a run of games in the team with the way Johnson at Liverpool is playing Micah may well force his way into the England team at right back. Plays more international games will bring him on more and more. I think he has done well when he has played this season. We have yet to see anything from Boateng yet so Micah has a chance of keeping the jersey if he keeps working hard. The whole of the right side done well last night.

his positioning and the way he ambles back once conceding possession is amatuerish i'm afraid and i dread to think what will happen when we reach the champions league latter stages if he is playing right back

i think with a lot of hard work he could become a good strong centre half where he can concentrate on defending and he doesn't have to worry about going forward

unfortunately at the moment none of our full backs are 'world' class and this will have to be addressed in future transfer windows

Must have been watching a different game because didn't impress me that much. On a different night we would have been punished by the way he played Wallcott (I think) onside

I'll throw my hand up as one who has bagged Micah in the past, and it's good to see he is starting to fulfill the promise he had. He is still a work in progress and an Italian manager can only help him improve his positional sense. We do look short of top class left and right fullbacks.

I thought he was better..but i don't feel he played well. He seems to have been drilled to not letting the opposition get around the back of him but does'nt show the same aptitude when a Nasri simply skips inside (without changing a gear) and our goal being sited because of the slack counter movement seems to not be of great concern to him. He seems to know what 2+2 are but he's now stuck on 3+2, agonising.

On the plus side he did steamboats (proper) back to his defencive position last night, more than twice, which means he can actually do it...which might mean he was'nt going to do it till he was dropped. Nowt like competition to liven folk up.

He was really good when he came on the scene. He looked bereft of any of them qualities and confidence under Hughes. I'm absolutely lovin Micah Rochards this season!

He's leaner than in the last few years and looks like he's confident and focused. At 22 he has got a lot of developing time to improve. I'm really enthused about him!

I think the problem with that is, in all honesty Boateng would of been lost. That in itself worries me because he was brought to be Richards succesor and now we have Zab playing all over the shop because the 2 full backs we brought are not up to scratch yet
