Micah Richards the pundit

Neville was pissed off because we did not give the win to them the way we did last year, in both games. It was up to them to come at us they are the home team. Pep has changed the way we are playing, he will not get mugged again, yes its taking time but it will come, once we sort out our attack, then we will be better, cant wait for them to come to ours, it will be different.

I like Micah as a pundit, he likes a laugh, as @Ban-jani says is a breath of fresh air and just seems to enjoy football which is what its all about.

Anyway, regardless of all that there's one thing you should be grateful for...

This is the first time in a LONG while I can remember having a friendly, ex-City pro as a regular pundit. Liverpool and United have had a f**kin army of them over the years. Souness, Hanson, Carragher, Lawrenson - that's just the scousers I can remember and they were all useless as well. I don't remember too many of them being happy to give us plaudits for breaking records left right and centre, do you? I bet they know how much every single one of our players cost as well the bitter b**tards.

So, let's get behind Micah - he loves rubbing that bell end keane up the wrong way and is clearly getting under his skin!

Go on Micah lad!!

Mica Richards is a joke. Because of our success and they do pay attention to our rantings about bias. They sort out someone to put a Blue Face in there,. Its embarrassing to watch him. He's clueless. Zabba would be my shout or going back Tuert, or Stephen Island's Gran.

Not as clueless as your spelling.

I had to turn the aftermatch off yesterday once I seen Neville added to the studio pundits. Straight away it was turned into City’s fault that United didn’t win and Micah sat between the two gimps having to fight our corner. He was doing a decent job of it but the bile the other 2 spouted was just too much for me to have any further interest.

Did Sky forget that United were the home team?
I went around the tv globe after full time.
Brasil, South Africa, America, UK, Canada, Portugal. All in the studio with a smattering of boring ex-rags banging on about united this, united fucking that. May as well have only had one team on the pitch.

Awww, why are you embarrassed? What is it that Richards does or says that reflects on you so much that you blush a bit?

Crazy innit.
How Richards has managed to get a job with the beeb, sky and cbs is beyond me, given he's so bobbins?
He is not the smartest but at least he is a blue at heart and outlook and can shout our corner (but gets confused sometimes). Not sure but hope time and experience irons out some of the delivery and illogical observations he makes sometimes. But with hindsight he is on a panel with highly experienced journalists with a defined ideal set (eg. pro scouse) and seasoned pundits who have been there for many years.

He has an incredibly frustrating habit of almost making a point and then losing it, he'll kind of circle around it, almost getting there over and over before going off on a tangent to end an answer.

But he's still really new to this, he's already improved a lot since he started media work 18 months ago, and I'm sure the more he does it the better he will get.

His attitude is a nice change, he's got relevant modern anecdotes about being a player today, and he's a City friendly voice so you can't ask for much more.
