Micah Richards the pundit

Delaney hates City so much!
Yep. And I'm someone who thinks there are legit criticisms to be made, but he is clearly driven by something else entirely.

I'd also, frankly, question his apparent "expertise" if he can't figure out that Micah, Keane and Carragher aren't playing personas that Sky love and promote because they can clip it up for commentary and socials. If you can't work that out then what hope do you have analysing anything else.

People keep saying he's a terrible pundit as if pundits are these all knowing bastions of footballing knowledge, if they were, they'd be football managers. they're almost exclusively ex players who don't possess what it takes to manage, they're TV personas there to entertain and attract viewers, some attempt it by attempting to be smart and insightful to varying degrees of success, Neville to his credit is one of the better ones at this and look at his stint in management.

Micah plays the class clown, he does it very very well, he doesn't need to attempt to offer some insightful comment everytime he speaks nor should he. Him laughing at Keane losing it is great entertainment.

What’s that journo on about?

United used to have a club endorsed banner mocking our trophy drought. I’m sure their dickhead fans and ex-players can handle 2nd-6th placed finishes in the best league in the world every season, more money to spend than nearly every club in the world, it’s hardly like they’re going through a bad time is it… Sunderland are going through a bad time… Bury have been through a bad time… United are not going through a bad time and any of them moaning need to get fucking real!

Micah is spot on to laugh. He should have followed it up with “have you fucking heard yourselves all the time? You talk as if United are going out of business and their ground is going to be flattened!”

Neville, Keane, Scholes, Schmiechel, all these YouTube/Twitter videos with United fans moaning about “this isn’t good enough for Manchester United”… outside three managers in your history you’ve been just another club in a long line of clubs.

Exactly this. It’s like a pantomime or a soap opera where everyone plays a certain part

Souness - the grouchy no nonsense veteran
Neville - the busy little **** teachers pet
Micah - the class clown
Keane - the angry bad boy
Redknapp - the handsome empty headed one

The rags got lucky that their period of dominance coincided with the new all singing dancing premier league. Wall to wall worldwide coverage, Super Sundays, all hyped up to the max. This created the myth and self entitlement that we see today. Fergie time, the theatre of dreams, famous European nights under the lights, we never give in, late late winners. On and on. A whole generation of spoilt little bastards grew up with this, fans and pundits alike. Now we see the result when they can't get their own way. Fuck them and the sky bandwagon they rolled in on.

Copy this, frame it and post on every media you can, youngsters demand the truth and you write it.

Thanks it's totally true. I worked with a girl in her twenties who supported the rags. Of course she lived in Kent and had been to the swamp twice in her life. Once was for a tour and shopping trip to Manchester on her birthday. She was distraught when Ferguson retired and we started winning stuff and beating them. Her whole world of posing in rag shirts and being associated with success was evaporating before her eyes. She was bewildered, she never thought it would end. That's the difference in being raised on adversity or spoilt with success.
