Micah Richards the pundit

With a bit of luck punditry will be a dying art soon.
From your lips…

Find that too many ex-players try too hard to NOT be, in any way, contentious, when they must see some of the same crap we see and wonder what the hell has happened to the game!

I see Ten Hag whining… about a studs up, both feet off the ground, lunge at the ball that connects mid-shin with the opponent…because it’s Casemiro!?!

Hate to ask him the simple question, but IF Casemiro was in full control of his tackle, why is a scything tackle ending with a straight leg, studs up, challenge at mid-shin height?

Where’s the problem with a red card for that, but does ANYONE say a word about it? Nah, wouldn’t want Ten Hag (the new Fergie?!) mad at them, lest he not allow them that next interview!

They get away with so much shit, like Liverpool, and who can forget Spurs’ Kane & Dele Ali in the same game against us? But, they’re all “good guys,” right?

I see the 4 banned games are almost gimmes, so Casemiro will be nicely rested when he gets back for the tougher fixtures they have, but if ANYTHING doesn’t go as planned, it’ll be down to them missing their best midfielder that VAR screwed!

Most seasoned spectators know as much, if not more, than many of these pundits, so why waste the time and money on them, especially post-game!

What the fuck was that shit him and that chancer in chief (Sturridge) wearing last night with those ridiculous stripes.

You could buy a medium sized third division club with the combined cost of those two outfits. Although I’m sure neither of them paid for them.

Only really became a regular pundit because of his laugh and because of his man-love towards Roy Keane. It kind of became the underlying theme to their analysis and it made people laugh. When Keane isn’t on the panel then Micah is like a newsreader who suddenly realised the autocue has got stuck and has to blag his way around the story. He doesn’t do a bad job of it to be fair to him and I like him but he is nowhere near the best pundit out there and I’m sure he’d admit to that fact.

We do have a strange fanbase, years and years of complaining about United and Liverpool bias all over the pundits

We eventually get the most high profile young pundit flying the flag on all the big games and people decide they don't like his clothes and his punditry style.

I swear some of you wouldn't be happy unless it was a bald bloke from South Manchester in boot cut jeans and Adidas trainers constantly bringing everything back to slagging Fergie off.

FYI there's not going to be 1 pundit going to come through ever again who will have a memory of us playing at Maine Rd, and very shortly not 1 who will have a memory of us pre-takeover. It's a new world.

Some strange fuckers like to complain about Micah, Noel and Ricky Hatton. When you see all the red wankers you’d think they would like to have a blue or 2

They moan about the bias the red fuckers talk about.
Then we get a Blue pundit who tries to be fair and still they moan.
You could not make it up.

Micah’s analysis is so uninsigtful, he’s a hard watch.

Constantly starts talking about one thing and by the time he’s finished he’s talking about something else. And he states the bleedin obvious but acts like he’s breaking ground with what he’s saying.

He kept turning the post-match analysis to Arsenal last night n’all, I don’t think it was on purpose, he just doesn’t know where he’s going with what he says so it ends up being a jumble of topics in the same answer.

Him and Sturridge analysing Haaland was really substandard n’all. Compare those two to what Henry was doing the other week and it was just amateur.

Now now mate Micah and Daniel were 'a joy to watch' and 'amazing'!!. Really are stealing a living those two.

I like Richards but he's no analyst. Get him a gig on Soccer Am or something and it'd be far more suitable.

Nice to see Nedum the other day covering us. I've been banging that drum a good while.

When I hear a blue pundit openly wanting the rags to lose on a CL night, slag off the home crowd and mock the stadium light show then I'll feel things are starting to even themselves out a little.

Buzzer told it how it was, wasn't rude, aggressive or abusive, just said it as it was at the time.

He was fcuked off pronto, never to be seen again despite everything he said that afternoon at the swamp being correct..

The rag ***** commentating on our games get away with much worse every time we're on and are lauded for it..

Agree 100% but a Scouse **** is the worst of the lot.
Buzzer,Nedum and Micah are good and fair pundits.
Okay you cannot please all but this is something l'm glad that the three of them are.
Rather be fair than the likes of spitty, neville and wio.

This!

This whole fuckin thread just beggars belief. Micah's one of our own. We all knew he was an Arsenal fan after his England debut & rumours of strong interest from Wenger were swirling around.

He gave the stock response of being happy at City, but who knows what'll happen in the distant future.

He's not the most eloquent, free flowing of pundits, but it's like listening to a mate giving a considered opinion.

We've waited years to get proper City representation & now we've got it, it's followed by this cutting thread? Come back Danny Mills, all's forgiven. Some City fans evidently prefer you as a "City" pundit over Micah Richards... :-/

More the merrier, I don’t care if they’re always laughing or always crying as long as they’re blue.

It was even better this week when Nedum appeared alongside Lescott. It's been a slow transition to get Sky Blue representation, but I'd rather listen to Micah, Nedum & Lescott over Danny Mills or Mark Lawrenson et al...

If Micah Richards can sit in a studio being paid a fortune and critique Pep’s tactics and they way Haaland makes runs, we as fans can critique his punditry just like we did his performances as a player.

Don’t know why it’s such a big deal. He’s shit when it comes to being insightful about tactics but he’s a good laugh. I much prefer others.

Plus I don’t feel that we need City representation in the pundit panels, just people who know what they’re talking about. I’d rather have a full panel with no links to City if they talk sense. There was one game when we played West Brom away and the studio was all ex-City players and no representation for West Brom. I thought it was a bit shit and no good for any West Brom fans watching. I’d rather see a few managers or ex-managers given the punditry gigs because they know the game more than players who’ve never coached or are failed coaches.

Ex City leg end, McPointy's behaviour when we won in the Bernabeu was like a petulant 3-year-old having his favourite toy taken off him. Unprofessional in the extreme.
