He’s just chanced on playing a role as the token City presence and since then it’s been all about building up his career -which means he’s all but ditched any City connection in line with his paymasters demands. Micah's not there to represent us as a former player - I'm totally fine with his balanced comments. He gave everything for us on the pitch - ridiculously quick and dominating in the air courtesy of a gravity defying leap - I remember him comfortably outrunning a prime Theo Walcott over 40/50 yards. Loved him as a player. Yes I know that Keown represents Arsenal, Spit represents Liverpool and Neville represents Utd, but that's because Sky are afraid to remind them what they're paying them for. To me, you take the shilling from the BBC, Sky, BT, ITV, Amazon or whoever, and you forfeit the right to comment from a biased perspective. Sky are paying them to call it as they see it - not what they want to see. Micah's the only one to do that. Wright's always saying 'We' when talking about Arsenal. If they want to go down the 'We/We're' route, then stick to their club's tv channels.

To me, the one-off guests in the studio for a game involving their former club are fine to let their bias run riot, but not Spit and co. Sky/BT/BBC etc will have sent the regulars to media school, but you wouldn't think so to listen to them.

Why don't they have Buzzer in there for one-offs any more - his brain is ultra sharp and walks as if he could still play. The guy is brilliant and takes no lectures and no crap? One of my idols - I grew up in the Bell, Lee and Summerbee era. What a privilege!!

Lovely guy but doesn't offer much in the way of tactical analysis (putting it mildly). Plus, his sooking up to Utd & Liverpool is frankly embarrassing he's becoming a Sky puppet...taking the handsome financial rewards in return for shedding some of his integrity. I suppose that's what many would do themselves but that doesn't make it more palatable.
I don't especially like Carragher or Neville but at least they offer some useful analysis when games are on, they can spot things happening on the pitch, Micah is just completely lacking in that aspect.
As many have said, it's great to have a City viewpoint (finally) on Sky but I can think of others who would be better than him. I find him quite embarrassing at times.

And I'm afraid that is the truth. Keane obviously wants United to do well, but he's quite level-headed in assessing how teams are really playing. Personally, I've always said that I don't want to listen to any “pundit” arguing his own team's corner. And that would include ours. If I had my way, they would never commentate on a match involving their own former club. Then we'd really see what they're made of.
That said, I'm not a subscriber, so I don't really listen to them anyway, other than on Youtube for the round-up part (occasionally)!

The problem with Micah in terms of his City credentials is that he is still sore at being pushed out by a higher performing Zabaleta. Zabba has legendary status he doesn't.

A poster on here says he always gave his best but I don't believe that's true. I have heard a few times on podcasts he says he thought he had made it. When he played for England at a young age I thought he would be England's fullback for at least a decade. He never improved or worked on his game hard enough imho.

The fact he left City and did nothing is testament to that. I think he sees his time at City with some regret but as it is with players they don't like to accept the problem was an attitude one.

I think he likes City and still has a fondness for Arsenal. There shouldn't be a problem with that.

You watch old footage and you think "wow did they really ask that?" - then you realise it was the appropriate, obvious question, but nowadays we've been programmed not to expect that.
