Micah Richards

I can't see any of the top 6 wanting him. I think his injury record will prove to be too costly for so many teams at the very top level.

He'll unfortunately be plying his trade for Spurs or Everton at the highest level. If not that, I can see him going to the Hammers or one of the newly promoted sides. Perhaps a swap deal for Trippier?

It's sad, because he could have been the best RB the club has ever had, but I'm sick of seeing "Richards has a problem", "Richards is injured" or "Richards has a serious knee injury" almost every week of the season.

Sorry, Micah.

He wants £80k a week so that rules out Everton. Spurs already have two better right backs, and they aren't great, either!

He's got Sunderland, Newcastle, West Ham or Villa written all over him.

I think the best bet would be for him to try a new experience abroad in Spain or Italy?

City will still want to do right by the lad, so we could see him used as a possible makeweight somewhere.

You're underestimating his ability, plus the fact he is English. Won't be surprised to see him end up at Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal. Saying that, I also have to agree in that I wouldn't be surprised if he does have to go to a team like Newcastle or Sunderland (no disrespect to them)

The English factor is huge...I'm a little lazy to read up on the rules, but the home-grown + English combination makes him more valuable to us than anyone else, wish he could stay healthy.

Anyone know how close we are to the requirements for English players in the squad? I imagine if you take away lescott and micah, then we would be at or below the number...

real problem potentially on the cards as far as this goes, I think Micah, Lescott, Barry, Rodwell, Boyata and Sinclair will all leave in the summer, and probably Guidetti too. Clichy could also leave, and the way Milner has been treated it wouldn't surprise me if he wanted regular football.

Does this show a lack of foresight on the club's part? Can see us being held to ransom this summer over home grown players the way things are looking. For the record, which of our EDS players would count? Emyr Huws I guess? Would we be allowed to register him as one of the 8 homegrown, and then loan him for the season or not? It would be a shame if he was forced to stay and play in the EDS rather than get more experience because we were short on HG players!

I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow's match ended in a win for City... or perhaps Hull. Failing that, a draw might be on the cards.

You are probably right about these exits. Not sure it's lack of foresight as all of the first batch have had a fair chance - apart from Sinclair, who was just a mistake.

They are just a drain on payroll if they don't have a serious prospect of playing a good number of games.

I'd love some of the next wave of EDS to come good. Unfortunately the top echelon of the PL isn't conducive to taking gambles.

i really like micah but dear lord this is bad...

Wow this really does tell a story, bugs me when he moans about not getting a chance.

A great shame thought he would be one of our greats remember a game against Utd when Giovanni scored (1-0 under Sven) I think Richards played centre half he was absolutely outstanding at such a young age hard to understand his decline.

When you see these statistics, coupled with the number of games he's played in the last two years, it doesn't bode well.

And on top of those injury dates there is of course the period he was in recovery. We will sell, and he will go, but to which club i would not want to guess. I thought he would have been a star, and an England player for years for years to come, but he just became bulky and injury prone. One year left on his contract, our fee will have be reduced due to his injury record .Eventually when this situation occurs we will be able to upgrade from the academy . You know, the holistic and organic way of our club for the future. He had electric pace but his final ball shot or pass was the problem . He got into great positions but could not slot the final ball to our strikers after his great charge through the midfield.I also remember that headed first goal for him at Villa was it,? and him swearing unintentionally on Sky.

Thought he would have been Englands full back for years and years.

Given our International quality,he's probably still good enough for that role.

Granted what we have in that position aint great, but Micah is certainly not England quality any longer.....

But smalling and jones are !! Having a laugh
