Michael Barrymore documentary

Good doc on channel 4 accusing him of being involved in the rape and death of Stuart Lubbock who was found in his pool.

Anyone seen it and anyone know why Barrymore owned a swimming pool if he couldn't swim?
Because he doesn't have ashtrays in his house.

Shocking that they can narrow it down to either Barrymore or two of the other guests on the basis of the strength required to fist the bloke to death yet no jail time for anyone. Fucking awful.
First Ive heard of it being narrowed down to to any specific people or amount of. Didnt say that in the documentary. Where did you get that from?

The new dci (or possibly the 2nd one) assigned to the case said during the documentary that only three of the 8 present would have had the physical strength to inflict the injuries found on the victim. That's assuming that you don't buy into Barrymores theory that someone buggered him in the mortuary.

Yeah I read it somewhere as well. Three in the frame as the others were all accounted for. Barrymore his boyfriend and the binman I think it was reported.

Jimmy Savile was still alive when Lubbock was in the mortuary. Just sayin'.

Detectives investigating the death of a man whose body was found in entertainer Michael Barrymore's pool say they have new information about the case after a renewed appeal last week.

Stuart Lubbock, 31, was found dead at Barrymore's home in Roydon, Essex, on 31 March 2001, having suffered serious sexual injuries.

Police offered a £20,000 reward for information leading to a conviction.

They are now following up several calls, as the Mirror reported.

As they relaunched the appeal, Det Ch Insp Stephen Jennings said: "I believe that [Stuart] was raped and murdered that night.

"One or more of those party-goers are responsible for that serious sexual assault on Stuart Lubbock."

The new senior investigating officer said three people previously arrested, including Barrymore, had not been "completely eliminated".
