To be fair, most people who disliked him even before any accusations wouldn't watch a documentary showing the great things about him.

I doubt all those invited to the screening were anti him, but the majority who left were not very complimentry apparently

Definitely always thought he was a bit of a weirdo but I was probably only just about to become a teenager when he died so I don't have the most complete opinion.

Didn't he dangle a kid over a balcony as a joke once or am I dreaming that one up?

Society were naive as a whole about things like that back then mate. It took the kids from that generation as adults to wise up to it.

I agree mate. It truly sickens me to the pit of my stomach that kiddy fiddlers are abusing kids whilst good people in this world are dying from horrible diseases, poverty and famine. I love my kids dearly and all kids should be safe from sexual deviants at large .

I don't know, no smoke without fire and all that but the lad was almost certainly mentally ill.

I think people would put up a better defence for Gary Glitter if he had a few platinum albums.
