Michael Johnson arrested

An absolute disgrace of a person, im glad he has finally once and for all, ruined his footballing carreer. He was a good player who has fucked things up for himself time and time again, how many chances does he need? ANy one of us would love to play football for a living, hope he does time and we sack him. Good ridance.

Guess the feint hope that he would make it back has finally gone, shame for the lad but he's had plenty of chances by the club.

Hope life after football treats him well and he manages to battle his demons.

Not good at all. Im sure he regrets what happened.

Hope he sorts himself out.

Am I one of the very few that actually feel sorry for the guy?

He clearly has a number of psychological problems and even if he never kicks a ball again for City I would hope he can get help for his disorder.
I have seen many people waste much talent in all walks of life and it is always very sad to see, he needs to seek help.

Since when did being a piss head get classed as a disorder?

I'm a bellend when I'm pissed so I dont drink. Its that easy.

And a bellend sober, having a drink problem is a serious illness.

I bet you are middle class.

Always a shame when a young man with talent (and issues) turns to drink or other excesses in life.

Understandable? yes it is - a lot of money, a lot of spare time, a lot of hype and often, very little guidance or grounding to deal with it.

Manchester City as employers have a duty of care to try and help any player struggling with issues, but they also have a responsibility to other players and the wider community.

If they can guide him in the path of professionals who can help him - great, but they can't afford to be represented by him either.

His contract (if possible) should be terminated.

As for drink driving? yes it's moronic, and costs lives. But so does speeding, and yet well ALL do it. We all do stupid things, and sometimes, the repercussions are truly awful.

Anyway, I digress.

Goodbye Mr M Johnson. Get well and farewell.

Do only working class people have drink problems?
