Michael Oliver (merged)

Re: Michael Oliver

Didn't even notice the referee which is what it's all about. We don't fork our £43 to watch the referees. He was spot on. Didn't think the handball was a pen either but most of the shit referees give those these days.

Re: Michael Oliver

I agree. Not once did he stop the game for a chat for the cameras to get his air time. Phil Dowd and Howard Webb take note. This is how you referee a game. We aren't here to watch you.

Re: Michael Oliver

It will all change when fergie takes him under his wing

Re: Michael Oliver

i agree and he had a good game. only 2 to query for me would be:

handball from Kolarovs cross. arm away from body, looked a pen?

petrov taking out Silva. should have been a yellow. before of course the yellow he got

To give a pen would have been harsh on Hutton, if that was given up the other end of the pitch i'd have put something through my tv.

As i said on page 1, i think he was just allowing the game to flow and only produced a yellow if it was serious.

Honestly think he can go onto great things and if he continues to ref the way he did yesterday then he should be the blue print that the rest of the Premiership referee's should aim for.

Seriously? He is young enough to be around for years and like United have been in the past, the top dogs will get the benefit of these refs, and United wont be that dog.

Re: Michael Oliver

He's not been about long enough for Taggart to get to him!
Was v good yesterday.
