Michael Oliver (merged)

Re: Ref v Villa

He did well, but didn't really have too many tough decisions to make did he?
Apart from their hand ball in our box which I don't think anyone would have give there was nothing.

He is the best in the league, I was relieved when he was appointed. It's time he got a cup final.

He refereed the Conference play off final in 2007 at Wembley when he was just 21. Won't be long before he gets one I shouldn't think. Community Shield in August perhaps?

Lee Probert did the Arsenal away Carling cup game. Thought he had a good game too.

We've not had him since!

Best ref in league by far

I've always said it, he ain't scared of big decisions too and seems very sensible

Only 26 too and doesn't think he's above everyone like battenburg and dowd to name a couple

First saw him Ref a very difficult Blackpool v WBA (?) he was superb dealt with every decision exactly spot on. Ive wtched him since and he is always the same including at Sold Trafford where he gave the decision based on the circumstances not scared of who was sat the bench. Looks to me like he has played the game and understands it from that point of view The palyers obviously respect him For me he is the best about and I hope he doesnt change under the influence of the buffoon Old Mother Riley.

It was significant that for once we committed by far the fewist fouls
