Michael Oliver to ref Liverpool v City - City lodge complaint

The premier league and pgmol got to him thats who - they are in control of the whole affair. How they want games officiated, and I wouldn't be surprised that the way it unravelled yesterday was to stoke up this so-called rivalry between our 2 clubs - hence it makes the premier league a hot selling point

The games between ourselves and them will no longer be just a game - the intensity and everything that has gone on yesterday (how it was reffed etc) before the return leg in April has now set the standard.

Liverpool got away with murder (sorry for the pun) yesterday, countless times they should have been booked but not one yellow card, every VAR incident went there way.

The premier league do not want a dominant club force as it (in their eyes) lowers the brand selling point

Unless that dominant team plays in red .

I think Pep should have come out and said 'this is the same referee that incorrectly missed a pen against Spurs and now twice again against another top 4 opposition'.
He would have been hit with a ban for speaking the truth but maybe in the long run we would have benefited from him highlighting it to the media.

This
So with the bottler, he missed nailed on penalties in the Utd game the other season, missed a nailed on pen v the Dippers in the Carabo Final, allowed Brighton to Score on the final day game despite the scorer fouling our defender and gave them so many soft free kicks to allow them to put the ball in the box, then the Spurs debacle, then allowed Everton to kick us off the park but we came through that one and now the corrupt performance v Dippers with non cards and penalties.
He cannot be just shit as it seems only one way he officiates our games.
But it will continue as we as a club just lube up and take it. We are easy to give decisions against as officials know we wont surround them, wont kick up a fuss after the game or give them grief so awarding blatantly wrong decisions against us in an easy option for them.
Remember Clattenburg recently admitted he knew he gave the wrong decisions in Utd's favour as he was scared by Keane, the Bottler was the perfect choice for Riley as he is too afraid to give anything against Pool

Added to that the club don’t fight back , they just take any shit on the pitch & in the media , in a way we ask for it .

We should make clear that we don't want him involved in our games in future, either on the pitch or back at Stockley (sp?) Park. Even if (as I'm guessing is the case) we're not allowed to veto refereeing appointments. It would make public our unhappiness with Oliver.

I think the Glaswegian Bully was the only manager allowed to pick referees .

Good post but have to disagree on this.

They would be ecstatic if a Liverpool won it for 10 years on the trot, same with Utd.

Its us they dont want dominating.

Nah. They would find it far more acceptable if Man U/Liverpool win it many times in a row rather than us, but they would prefer more teams to win the title. They wouldn't be ecstatic to see the PL being won by one club all the time.

The post you are replying to is right: they are afraid that City will become far more powerful than the traditional big clubs and ruin the brand. It's obvious that we are playing against the referees and that was the case also last season, given that we got only 4 penalties which is absurd for the best attacking team on the planet.

This season the refereeing mistakes against us are on another level though and it is obvious why. Now that we are 9 pts behind Liverpool they might try to be more objective but I wouldn't hold my breath.

No such thing as " mistakes " involved alex, every one was quite intentional.

Did he not also miss three in one derby the other year.
