The idea that the old counties have been abolished is a myth. They have been removed as units of government but they still exist for certain purposes. For example, the Lord Lieutenants are still appointed to the old counties. The Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire is still the queen’s rep within the old boundaries, including Liverpool.
This is why I love bluemoon so much even after 15 years of browsing here is the unexpected posts such as is this. Everyday is a schoolday, even on a MOIAC thread.
 
Can someone do a CSI Beswick and pinpoint 9 months before Owens kid was born, who Owen was playing for and get a list of his then teammates up?

So… DCI Easy has discovered (well googled) that he was at the dippers when she was born - May 2003, so early August 2002 is the time period… However no Spanish players in the dippers squad but we have someone who is Portuguese, step forward Mr Abel Xavier… who was sent out on loan in 2003, wonder if that loan was to try and keep dressing room harmony?
 
Is he still having to work to allegedly pay off his debts which is how he allegedly got the gig in the first place. Let’s be honest, if he had to do a screen test or IQ test he wouldn’t be working. He has less knowledge of the game than the likes of Sue Smith or even Ralphie
