He was plastered on a couple of occasions, the other times i saw him were at the start of the night.

Where was he when you spotted him, and over what period of time were these sightings?
If a player's not got a game within the next couple of days i've no real problem with them going out and getting drunk, so long as they're not misbehaving. You say you've spotted him noticably drunk twice, he's been in the first team for three years, and at the club for over five.

Many.
Show the lad a bit of support, ffs. If he's injured and low then he'll need all the support he can get. If there's any truth to the more scurrilous rumours then we owe him even more support.
