mick mcarthy

Did what he thought would give his club the best chance of achieving it's targets. And they achieved their target, full credit to him.

Mick is a genuinly nice guy.

And he wouldnt want any other club in the prem to succeed more than us

Agreed, I wonder how many slagging him off have actually met him and spoken to him? His job last season was to keep Wolves up - if he didn't he'd have been sacked.

The critics should be a bit more circumspect, next season I'm sure we'll be sending out "squad" teams in the Carling Cup and maybe in one or two Europa Cup games.

integrity.

His job is to do the best for his club, not ours. Wonder how many would cheer him
on if he sent a weakened team out at Chelsea instead of the rags.

Exactly. Why should he give a shit about any team other than his own?

so if you was a wolves fan, spent 50 quid on a ticket, probably the same again in transport and food, and your manager effectively threw the game you would be happy.

then extend that to the cup competitions and you have a manager who has no interest other than to finish 4th from bottom, possibly for his own gain, due to some survival bonus.

if mcarthy repeats this trick again, like he did twice v united last season (league cup and league), how many wolves fans are going to say fuck this for a game of soldiers, whats the point in supporting a team with no ambition other than 16th in the premier.

sadly the spirit of the game died with money.

somewhat ironic that big mick verated the greeks last night for "not having a go" and "he wouldn't forgive himself if his team had come to the world cup and not had a go"

what happened at old trafford mick?

Said the same during the game mate.

He came across as a very, very bitter old man.

There's having' a go, there's half a chance, there's no chance in hell, and then finally there's Wolves at OT. But I agree, these commentators have very little in terms of short and medium term memory. Hypocrites have always been alive and well, and are often highly thought of by the TV channels.

And whilst I write this that useless piece of Oxfordshire shite, Henman, is giving out all the answers as to what British tennis players have to do - mental strength etc. You were useless, Timmy lad. Your sulks made Anelka look the heart and soul of the party. Why don't these shites just disappear from our screens the minute they pack in and go and spend some of their money - or better still EMIGRATE - to Mars.
