Publicly calling for the removal of an ideology (even if he doesn’t state which particular type of Zionism he opposes) is a line crossed. Ideologies exist to the people who believe in them, nazism still exists today as an ideology but far too few people believe in it to make it effect the lives of 99.9999999% of lives so they aren’t “mainstream”. It’s also a dangerous and challenging territory to work in - the nuances between ideology and religion are blurred at best, I’m sure he, like most, would baulk at the idea of calling for the ending of Hinduism.

It’s disappointing as he certainly had the platform and opportunity to talk for peace and to beg for a ceasefire and a solution or simply to just say Israel is behaving like a bunch of cunts. The vast majority world is on his side on this topic.

IMO he’s as much part of the whole problem - if you want to solve this problem you have to deal with the achievable - not inflaming the situation by calling glibly for de-zionising the world or (as per the merry go round from some on this thread) going back to who the fuck started this in 1948 or 1BC.

I do wonder how many people like him with a voice are actually content to keep people in suffering rather than keep them alive today for a better tomorrow.

MSNBC reporting Biden is going to make a speech saying the US supports Israel but not Netanyahu.

Be interesting if he does because he's calling for regime change and will block Israeli foreign aid to assist it.

If G Joe indeed lambast Netanyahu and the right wing Kahane, Likud, Irgun, Haganah et al cronies, AND for the Ministry of Education Israel to revise the national Israel curriculum in History for early years school that before 1948, Palestine is a barren land, is revised and acknowledge of the Nakba, the Tantura massacre and the mass destruction of 440+ villages, then there is hope for peace with any extremist faction not favoured.

Also, can the new Israel reinstate the Jewish Israeli doctors and teachers back to their jobs and return their possessions that have been confiscated from their homes so that the more moral and peaceful and pro-two state Israelis be back to their normal lives?

It is too much of an ask but my +97 moderate Israeli connections are in constant fear of being labelled traitors. It is high time.

Albert Einstein, and his fellow Jewish compatriots started the movement of de-zionizing Israel since 1920s and up to the late 1940s on telegram, on public newspaper, on his public speeches.

He himself was one of the early movement of Zionism, but true Zionism as the branch of protoZionism, which at the time was of an Israel that need no army, no nationalism and no Jewish supremacy. It was because of Israel eventually from the 1930s to the 1940s were prioritising more on an army, nationalism of the land by force (with foreign finance from the Rothschild), and Jewish supremacy that the true zionists (Einstein) were against the faux zionists.

It’s unfortunate that Zionism became the veil of reason and facade to cover the militia objectives of the 1900s Irgun, Haganah and Lehi - which are the tenets of today‘s IDF.
