The October Hamas attack really fucking backfired for Hamas didn’t it. And the poor civilians of Gaza that had nothing to do with it.
In the short term yes but the fact is that Israel is now seen in a completely different light. Israel has been treating Palestinians with disdain for decades whilst the world ignored what was going on. Not so now.
The status quo has been broken which inevitably will lead to change. Hopefully to the benefit of both peoples.

At the very least there will probably never be another Democrat US president as pro Israel as Biden. It’s Vietnam all over again.

US: Er...When we said ceasefire we meant "humanitarian pause" Your motion is too extreme Algeria. Can we talk about it for hours and not have a vote today?

This is the problem with the initial clamour to take as gospel what Israel said despite knowing what Netanyahu and Regev are like - you get backed into a corner unable to question any of their actions for fear of a pile on because of your audacity to do such a thing. I am sure there will have been people in administrations around the world who had doubts but were too fearful to raise them
