With respect, the reason terrorists use they tactics they do is precisely because they don't have parity of weaponry and resources.With respect, I think the IDF would be more than happy to meet Hamas on the open battlefield but that was never going too happen was it given what Hamas are and their tactics?

Who is supporting hamas PB ? Most are caring about innocents on both sides , israel have just put boots on the ground according to sky , but how many innocent in gaza are dead alreadyIf they wipe Hamas out, or their ability to carry out acts of terror, then their security situation will have improved significantly.
I'm staggered (although maybe I shouldn't be) that a number of posters would seemingly prefer a terror group to retain its capacity to inflict deaths and injury on a democratic nation, rather than have that ability removed from them. It's almost like logic gets turned on its head when Jews are involved.

Hamas hides amongst civilians, they fire rockets from civilian buildings and then live amongst civilians and they're not going to stop. They're going to try and kill as many Israeli soldiers as possible regardless of the methods used by the Israeli military and there will be civilian collateral.
Why is it so difficult to criticise Hamas who are driving the continuation of this war yet it's so easy to send Israeli soldiers to their deaths?
Forget the ground war, Hamas must stop and Israel must stop, period.

For example he IRA were very hard to distinguish from normal Catholic civilians but the British Air Force didn't get called in to carpet bomb catholic areas of Belfast and Derry, or Dublin.
And now we have some kind of peace there and civilians on both sides are not dying.
About 5000-7000 according to the organisers in Manchester. Fantastic turn out and no trouble from the police. Seen quite a few blues there too although not as many as Celtic fans150'000 expected in London too.
