Middle East Conflict

Why didn’t you fact check the 47 journalists who’ve been killed since the 7th October. That was supposed to be “propaganda”.

I hope the poppy seller gets well soon.

So you wrote
I am worried for the journalists and film crews in Gaza who the Israeli Government seem to have decided are enemies. I hope it's not true but i fear the chaos in Gaza will be used to kill more journalists, alongside the terrible civilian suffering.
I replied
I've no doubt journalists have been killed. That's a fact. You are musing that the Israelis are doing this deliberately which IS propaganda. i.e you have no proof.
So, I am going to repeat what I said then
I've no doubt journalists have been killed. That's a fact. You are musing that the Israelis are doing this deliberately which IS propaganda. i.e you have no proof.
and just as an added bonus the definition of propaganda

information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view.

Personally, no, I'd do anything possible to avoid it and enable my people to live in peace. And if that meant very significant compromises, I'd make them. Nothing is worth dying over, IMO. You get one life and it's not a rehearsal. There's no afterlife or anything else, you're just dead.
Well said and I totally agree.

Israeli forces are currently fighting in Gaza City and methodically clearing buildings block by block using UAVs to spot with assault drones working ahead of the infantry going room to room. Tunnel entrances are being sealed as they find them with listening equipment embedded in the tunnel sealant.
The IDF have been practicing these tactics for 5+ years now. It is not going to be an infantry hell hole for the IDF that many have been predicting.
Not in any numbers they are not, don’t get a chubby on just yet I am sure there will be lots more children and civilians being blown up or buried under the rubble for you get excited about, when will your blood lust be satisfied?

It's not helpful nor polite to personally insult posters with a different view and also a different approach to this terrible topic.

I get you are suffering with the Palestinian side, but I think your assumptions on the current developments are too much driven by your personal hope.

Israel have made the clear fundamental decision in principle to get Hamas out of the way. That's where USA and main western allies do agree. As a consequence, we have too many suffering people in Gaza, but the individual level sadly is standing in the 2nd row when the national security is at stake. It's also a consequence of the asymmetric war Hamas is fighting, involving masses of civilians intentionally.

Israel won't stop on their way. USA won't stop Israel, nor other western countries.
Hezbollah won't go all in, only showing some symbolic solidarity for the 'Arab street', as you call it.
Iran won't get in. Loads of diplomacy going on in the background and billions of $$ will surely help...

All of your prophecies were too hopeful and not very realistic nor analytic. That's ok, but insulting others who try to analyze the complex situation in a different way (and for you and many others on here maybe too factual and seemingly cold-hearted)
isn't ok. IMO.

I’m not on any side but basic humanity, twice when I lived in Israel I was in the vicinity of katosha rockets fired from Lebanon I know how terrifying it is, I abhor violence and war except when a country is in an existential crisis , plus knowing just how counterproductive this war is

Also the US will end this when the pressure becomes too much, it normally takes about 3 weeks but given the brutality of the Hamas attack it will take longer
