Middle East Conflict

the conclusion I draw from todays scenes is Netanyahu must be scared as its clear he has failed in his aims.

Israel will not get all the hostages back - some will already be dead and I think the ceasefire will collapse before all the survivors are returned.

Hamas will not be eliminated. As has been stated from the outset you cannot bomb and burn an ideology. If you could there would be no neo-Nazi's in Germany today. Looking at todays pictures Hamas is not dead in fact I was wondering how many of those we saw today were not Hamas fighters before the Israeli attacks. I suspect that Hisbollah will be able to recruit on the back of Israeli attacks on Lebanon in the North.

So that leave Netanyahu in a hole - when the world focuses on his failure from either angle what will be face?

If that is true, who will suffer the most? Yep, the innocent Palestinians.
They suffered under the Israelis before the terrorist attack, and will suffer in the future.
If any decide to join Hamas, they are also continuing the suffering. And so on and so on.

Hamas and other terrorist organisations only live to fight. They have nothing else.
If they got everything they wanted tomorrow, they would just start another fight. It's what they do.

As much as i think Israel has been shocking, not just now, but in the past. I do believe they "react" to provocation.
Hamas handed them the perfect excuse to do what they did. I refrained from commenting because i know i would support it if my family were hostages/victims.
So it would be smart for Hamas to not give them a reason to react. Their are so many other routes to take.
It's a war they cannot win by force. (from either side)
Israel needs to realise they cannot treat these people the way they have either. They have given them no alternatives. The way Israel has acted (for a long time), yet still receives support from the US and the west is baffling.

I think we agree - an ideology cannot be destroyed by brute force you need to change peoples thoughts hence the phrase "hearts and minds"

No sniper shot them.

Nail on head. The Hamas fighters are bodyguards for the hostages in this scenario.

I can understand why some in the crowd who have lost family members might see Israeli hostages (particularly those who were serving in the IDF) as legitimate targets for their revenge.

Hamas are clearly doing it as part of a big show and propaganda. They have the hostages at gunpoint telling them to wave to the cameras ffs.... There is absolutely no way these hostages have been treated well, the footage shows they have been terrified even to the last minute.

Also, how have they all suddenly found their uniforms?

The footage released earlier was even worse tbh,

It's propaganda, and could go badly wrong, but "hostages at gunpoint"? Terrorised by people wanting selfies?

Netanyahu, Smotrich, Ben Gvir, and the right wing fascist nutters can be exiled from the Israel governance. All the other moderate Israelis have the right for the Israel state.

Hamas must be disbanded and a local governance of moderates should take the helm. Though Hamas themselves declared last week they will disband when Gaza is retained freedom.

How many do you think there are?

Quite a huge number actually. I have several Jewish mates and colleagues who are pro two state solution and back to the Oslo accords decades before Oct 7th. I had a colleague who we worked together with others, on improving rural areas in other regions (not Israel or Palestine) for their benefits.

They are the Einstein and Arendt train of thought. The cultural zionists.

What dominates the governance and major media outlets however are the revisionist zionists. To me it is impossible to solve, because revisionist zionism is ingrained in the very fabric of society, globally.

The only way to solve is to hope for the next generation of Israelites to do their rethink. The rate is increasing, and families are breaking up between revisionist zionists and pro-Palestine Jews. The intellectual younger generations are questioning their very own status quo. It might take 30 years, 50 years, who knows. But it is getting there.

In our borders, their zionism think tanks like Henry Jackson Society and the Jewish Chronicle are not welcomed by the Board of Deputies of British Jews.

The problem is that Zionism is an extreme idealogy to start with.

The release of of young woman this morning was disgusting, they are fucking animals

During the Holocaust, Nazis referred to Jews as rats. Hutus involved in the Rwanda genocide called Tutsis cockroaches. Slave owners throughout history considered slaves subhuman animals. In Less Than Human, David Livingstone Smith argues that it's important to define and describe dehumanization, because it's what opens the door for cruelty and genocide.

WTF are you babbling on about?

"Animals"....

Literally hundreds of posts calling Israelis animals and evil and not a peep from you?

These are the same animals that even shoot their own people waving white flags.

You even managed a like to this post?

Still, too good an opportunity for you to miss creeping the Nazi jibe in again wasn’t it?

Loved your Hamas bodyguards post earlier as well, hilarious even by your own standards.

That's literally what they were in that instance.

The IDF dehumanise themselves.

Why do I care about the views of someone who believes in great replacement theory?

Just pointing out your rank hypocrisy.

Carry on not caring ;-)
