Middle East Conflict

I saw it today while taking the dog for a walk. All lampposts in front the court are 'adorned' with Palestinian flags, don't get the meaning though.
The last thing we need is another Galloway-like moron as an independent candidate for the next elections. I can only imagine most of the local Labour councillors are very pro-Palestinian.

Saw a few of the protests included clashes with people carrying England flags. I can imagine this is going to kick off more if these Pro Palestine protsts carry on for a number of weeks.

Imo the protests need to stop now, they have made their point.
Much of the protests are about political identity and not about stopping the war. Many people at these protests don't want it to stop because it actually energises their political goal.

A sizeable chunk of people at these marches are 'Socialist Worker' banner carriers and Tommy Robinson and his ilk of skinheads just sit on the other side.

The language used to justify armed resistance and violence by both is just disgusting. It really is horrendous how politics is mangling people's minds.

Bow Road E3?

The fact that 40 out of 46 Tower Hamlets councillors are most likely Muslim judging by their names would suggest more support for Palestine than Israel in your area, irrespective of party affiliation.

that attitude will leave the area in perpetual conflict
At some point trust and willingness to stop tit for tat attacks will have to be fostered
The best Syria could get in the next 50 would be to administrate the area under the military control of Israel - and only then if Syria was a democracy.
Chances of this happening - close to zero I think. Especially if an Assad dynasty emporer is still in charge.

What do you mean by "very pro palestine"?

You're making the assumption that Israel will be strong and America still world police before the end of that 50 years.

No one saw the Arab Spring coming. That was only 12 years ago.

Does that mean that areas with councillors who are christian are more likely to be Zionists?
