Middlesbrough post-match thread

Totally deserved the victory but FFS how many chances do we need to score a goal?
Ref was a joke - Leadbitter deserved four yellow cards at least and Clayton's tackle on Raheem was a straight red - could have broken his leg twice.

Still at work but from the thread it sounds like we played well but missed lots of chances again, has been the Story of our season so far, hope it doesnt cost us in the Semi and again in Monaco

To be fair it's one of the reasons why we brought JG in and we are certainly feeling his absence - although thankfully Sergio seems to be getting his goal-scoring confidence back.

Very very good 2nd half after a bit of a mixed first half

Would have been 5 or 6 nil but for their keeper

Dare I say Bravo did well. Good distribution and a couple of good stops. Mcminimum was determined not to credit him at any occasion.

Much as I hate to give any credence to Mcpointy I thought he showed great restraint in not going a lot further on just how poor Bravo is, but for Zab and then Stones we would have conceded two goals simply because Bravo dropped the f*cking ball, those "Couple of good stops" were right at him with no real pace while his good distribution was reserved for within ten yards, almost every time he went long it was wide left out for their throw or down the middle to one of their players.

Give the lad a break ffs. A clean sheet away from home in a Cup quarter-final. Not so bad.

So glad I do not have to support a team like Boro - apart from some good saves what can they remember fondly from that game?

Now now, I don't know about you but most City fans have been there. A scrappy performance from them but a club without the financial clout needed to survive in the prem.

I didn't watch it but it was back page headline and pretty much most of his interview,he could have ducked the question if he wanted to,anyway karma got him in the end

And lets hope relegation to complete the season...much rather have Rafa and the Geordies back up instead

A visit to Specsavers for Mike Dean might be in order - he's a seriously crap ref.
He already went on his way to the game.

yes because thats only thing they do..... i meant in terms of trying to defend and not go all out attack. the boring football/ caution first approach, we used to do that.
And that isn't the reason people were fucked off with them today.

It was then kicking lumps out of us, as everyone else seems to be aware.

But it was no thanks to him and its foolish to pretend otherwise, he was under no pressure for either of the ones he dropped and lets face it its a basic requirement for a goalie to be able catch a ball.

Have the club (or sky more likely) given any indication when the home WBA game is likely to be moved to now?

I hope we all take a moment to reflect on how lucky we are to see David Silva play this sport. He is an absolute joy to watch.
Correct. Even if he played for another prem. team I'm sure we would still appreciate him.In years to come people will speak of him in glowing terms as a magical footballer and the best thing is he is ours.
