Mike the security guard

Not a big deal, I'm sure like any organisation people leave or are sacked there at times. Security guards are ten a penny, and at 65 he was doing someone younger trying to support a young family out of a job anyway.

The reporting of this is very vague as it doesn't disclose the other 'alleged breaches', so they can't even be bothered to report the full version of events which may actually be a lot worse than what has been reported possibly? No doubt like all good reporting this probably happened months ago and the papers are choosing to bring it up now as things are going so well on the pitch and the Tevez thing has died down now.

Funny that there´s a compulsory retirement at 65 since October to be phased out.

There´s something odd about this if true.

Good username.

this is harsh to say the least ;/

mike helped me out a few times.....more recently, i was best man for my mate and for a pressie my mate bought me the city newspaper backpages history book.

my mate wanted to get it signed by all the team and staff as an added surprise, mike offered to take the book for a few days and get it signed up by all the team & staff.

always friendly and had a real dry sense of humour.

these snippets of info divulged to "city" fans......just how did this get back to G4S??

On the face of it its a very crafty move the G4S, 20+ years service at City then G4S, probably TUPE'd over so thats a tidy little pay-out and pension should he decide to retire at some stage, but now not available as they fired him.

But do we know that? It might as well be that he have retired as far as we know?
