What a strange response. Strange bloke.
Would much rather sell Stones gets injured too often I'm sure Newcastle or someone like that would pay £40-50m for him. Ake has been very solid since his arrival and Laporte excellent too.Anything is possible. Laporte and Ake are both saleable. Cashing in, taking this guy, it might be a route to... say... a pricey LB? Makes sense to me. Based on what we've seen so far, the cover they provide at LB isn't worth talking about. Take the money for them, go for Skriniar, you get another 'proper' CB who can play either side. And then room for a specialist LB.
(Not knocking John either he's a very good CB but as seen with Akanji there is quality in the market)

Sad because he is a high quality player and clearly loves the club, but he misses far too many games.
I think Aké or Laporte leave next summer. I can't see Stones leaving anywhere. He has a long contract, and obviously the English factor, being one of the core members of our squad throughout Pep's tenure, maybe he'll stick around longer.

Even if 1 or 2 leave, we have THB or Calum Doyle as backup depth.
This is a position that's set for many years.

Or the club don’t rate them two as highly as some fans do mate?
Young players tend to want loans. We have only really be able to give midfielders game time. CB develop late. I could see Ake or Laporte wanting to leave. So getting Skrinair on a free and selling Laporte and or Ake for maybe 40 million each and loaning or selling Doyle and THB for maybe 10 - 20 million each. Would be cracking business financially might come back to bite us long term maybe.
