yes, we have a lot of midfielders, but are most of them quality? No. i believe that aj, silva, milner and toure can fit in midfield

I do like Milner. Gets stuck in, plays with passion and has impressive flashes of attacking ability. but oh my the asking price....

it's Lescott all over again.

I think the Lescott deal was especially difficult for some of us to take because it triggered the departure of Richard Dunne. The Lad went on to cement his place in the Villa defence, play a final at Wembley and have a great season. Our own defence was shaky as fuck until January. I still cringe at that 3-3 draw with Burnley.

I'd certainly have him on board, but rather than paying stupid prices I think we should just leave Milner for now. Why pay around 25mil + for a player with 2yrs left on his contract, plus he's refused to sign another. Wait until January by which time he'll have 18months left, and his price is more likely to drop when Villa realise the end of his contract looms...

We NEED another attacking Midfielder in the Squad if we're going to take all 4 trophies seriously next season and it's a tough old start with Tottenham and Liverpool. Sunderland after that won't be an easy trip, either. Waiting until January to sign Milner is pointless. We need him now. We're minted, Mate. Who cares about the money?

I'm not doing cartwheels at the thought of him signing - but he's a good Player and will do a job for us.

why - do you really think he is a 24 Million player - he cant play right wing and is most effective in central midfield position. A position that we are busting with decent players. I see a fit M Johnson just a good - Villa are skint why hand them a lump of cash - if we feel we need such a player there must be plenty of others knocking about.
