Chelsea are in the frame apparently..!!
check out this paragraph from the report.;

The commonly held view, however, is that Milner, voted the Young Player of the Year by his peers last season, will leave Villa Park once he returns from South Africa, either for a considerably more impressive pay cheque, or a chance to play football in the Champions League with Chelsea.

They really cant let it go can they. :)

How many of fat fwanks goals were penalties. And for the record, much as I hate to say it but I believe Milner is better than Stevie. In respect of being in Drog/Lamps/Cesc's class, then clearly not - yet

A lotof lampards goals were pens - a lot werent.

Right well would you have said that at the end of last season about Ireland - ie after one good season
James Milners had at least two good seasons which by my reckoning is one more than Ireland.

Luka Modric (Spuds) - 21(4) - 3 goals - 3 assists

This is exactly why Stats don't show everything. Everyone raving about Modric would have you believe he has Cesc type figures this season. Had no idea it was only 3 goals and 3 assists. As there creative spark in the middle thats very underwhelming.

Not much better than Irelands who's not had a good season.

am i the only one who thinks modric is average? He is lucky to be in a team of bale really. I thought bale played a much bigger role for the team, and modric only looks good when there's kranjcar while kranjcar is to me better. I don't get why twitcher hails modric more. Kranjcar has better delivery, better long range effort, and better free kicks. Tbh, if we're shopping for fringe players in spuds, apart from bale, i'll go for kranjcar.

If Spurs had relied on Modric to get them into the Champion's League, we'd be in there now rather than them. Unfortunately, they had people like Crouch, DeFoe, Lennon & latterly Gareth Bale.

Defoe's early season form is what really did it for them he was on fire. Also bales performances in the games against chelsea and arsenal really swung it for them. If only chelsea and arsenal could of done a job there things would be so much different now
