Milos Kerkez

I keep seeing the 'who would you rather have against Salah?' question.
It's never a question that enters my mind.
We don't play that way. We dominate the ball so we need a player who contributes to that. Our defence is to starve the opposition of the ball.
On the odd occasions we have rapid counters against us, I hope that the whole team is able to defend.
We look at the whole team, what it offers, and choose full-backs to compliment our team play.

Robinson played further forward this year needs to be taken into account for those asissts. He had 6 last year, 2 the year before and zero the season before that(in limited time).

Ait Nouri who has also played further forward this season with 4 goals and 7 assists in the PL is another good option.

TBH id take any of them inc Kerkes. Giving us one of them(an actual left back) and O Reilly as our options there.
Yes of course. I was responding to a comment saying Kerkez is better offensively which I’m not sure about personally. He (Kerkez) may well be the more rounded full back of the two tho for sure.

Ati Nouri had a decent season also. With no natural full back at the club, any would be welcome as you say! :)

Is Ait Nouri homegrown?

He has been at Wolves forever it feels like.

Although I agree the prime method of defense is ball possession and pressing, inevitably this sometimes fails particularly against good teams and defenders often have to defend one v one , although it is usually central defenders it can be full backs which is why ZIn, Cancelo and now Nunes could look horribly exposed at times and why Walker was such a valuable full back for us. Contribution to the system is vital but in a defenders ability to defend one v one is pretty damn useful as well.

Ideally, you will have both, but they are very hard to come by.
Walker was a great defender but probably our weakest technical player, with little in the way of a left foot and often caught with little idea of what to do in attacking areas. He was still a great player for us.
In Khusanov we clearly have our one-on-one specialist, and I imagine he would be employed that way in key games against special wingers. On the ball, when pressed, he has looked a little more vulnerable than a more technical player, so it would be important to play a more technical full-back alongside him, or an LCB like Gvardiol.
I think it is always going to be a blend of strengths that we need to look at - IE. Who compliments the strengths of our existing line-up, and where are we weaker and who can solve that.

Now then

#ManCity have made enquiries for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez and are now viewed as genuine rivals to Liverpool for the player's signature.

Hugo Viana is a big fan of Kerkez, who has a price set at £45M by Bournemouth this summer.

If that price is correct we should give it then in cash tonight
