Mirror article about Kompany and Pellegrini

pellers doesn't seem to be the stubborn type,im sure he is looking at the bigger picture i.e. the season, at the end of the day, as big a game as the derby is for the fans ,it is 3 points. vinny more than likely put his return to the first team back by playing for Belgium,

there is never any news coming out of city,so the papers are trying to create a story with vinny v pellers, and to be truthful vinny doesn't come across as a slapped arse, if pellers thinks he's fit he will play, but manga and otto have done pretty well in vinnys absence .

Its only a few games where they have been playing together i know but i think at times we have been shambolic at the back and VERY lucky not to have conceded a lot more than we did in 2 of the last 3 games at least.

We don't actually know how MP has treated Kompany after the Belgian thing. We don't know how fit he was after returning from international duty. The assumption is that he's punishing Kompany but it could be that he genuinely didn't think that Kompany was 100% fit and was concerned at bringing him back too quickly after his previous injury record. Or it might be that he was fit but MP wanted to give Otamendi and Managala a couple of games together. It could be a comparable decision to when he played Willy at Spurs, which as far as I know wasn't because he was unhappy with Hart.

Its all guesswork.
He was fit and it was Pellegrini making a point.

Just to be clear I love Kompany, but as for him not being a slapped arse, Kompany along with Toure and a couple of other players were the ones that axed Mancini over several disagreements.

Controversial opinion here maybe but even though I do not rate Pellers a lot as a manager (just don't think he is the one to get us to the next level), I do like that he makes a bit of an example of Kompany.

He's played a blinder here as our Manuel.

Not only has he sent a message out to our players over their injuries and international duty. He has also sent a message out to the whole team saying that no one is undroppable. All this whilst winning the games in question.

Kompany's place is not guaranteed and he will be chomping at the bit to get back out there.

A fired up Vinny unleashed on the Rags could keep up a clean sheet.

-------------------- Hart ------------------
Sagna -------- VK ------ EM --------- AK
----------------- YT ----- Dinho ----------
Navas ------------ KDB ---------------- RS
--------------------- Bony -----------------

And I can see a comfortable City win.

Agreed with all of that until your team selection. Drop bony and have Fernando, Yaya in a two wont win this derby. I'd have KDB through the middle to start but keep swapping between him and Sterling. Them twats wont know what's hit them. Vinnie must play

I'd have Bony in the side just to rough Smalling up. He's been their best player this season so hopefully Bony keeping him out of the game will give the others the platform to run at them.

KDB and Sterling will still interchange and cause them problems.

I think a midfield 2 will be fine as long as Navas and Sterling stick to their defensive duty and we kept clean sheets against Chelsea and Everton with that team.

We could also swap Fernando and Bony later on in the game to mix it up.

442?

I totally agree with Pellegrini's stance over VK. Yet again VK's put his ego of being Belgium captain and wanting to lead the qualification celebrations over the success of our season. If he'd had a relapse, we would have had to rehabilitate him whilst continuing to pay his wages and sure enough as soon as he was remotely fit enough, he'd have fucked off to play for Belgium in some meaningless friendly putting himself at further risk yet again.

I hate international football anyway, but the way I've seen players like VK, Micah and Toure etc prioritise it above club football really pisses me off. I love Vinny, but I'm behind the boss all the way on this one.
