Missed out on a ticket for the derby?

I suppose, but that's taking the piss a bit. The £192 was bad enough before tagging on another game.

i know, but it's the only option for this time.

Or one of they tout sites and pay around £250 - feck knows how they managed to get tickets though.

I was told by a mate of mine, that courtesy of a supporters club (which I won't name) a blue who "never goes to games" (I'd imagine that was exaggerated a little, but nonetheless) was given 5 tickets for the derby, two of which he has now given to rags.

So, if like me, you narrowly missed out on a ticket due to your loyalty points you can sleep safely in the knowledge that there will be a 'blue' taking two rags along with himself in the away end.

Good ol' supporters clubs.

Funny enough (Or not as it turns out) I know a Blue who is a member of a supporters club but never goes, and he gets tickets for a rag for the Derby home and away! I think its out of order and would name and shame if it wouldnt come back to bite me. He tells me to join it as I live local and says it will mean I can get away day tickets whenever I want, but in honesty I'd rather get them via my own methods.
Maybe its the same suppoters club and "Blue" we are talking about?

I think it's a bit shit, that OSC's get preferential treatment, regarding the derby. However, the OSC'S go to games, that are not seen as 'glamorous' and represent the club all year, so why can't they get a little bit back for 'the big one'? (i'm not in one btw) Since being a member of this board, i have not seen ONE thread about people struggling to get tickets at the hawthorns or molineux.

Again you're missing the point.

Nobody is saying OSC members with enough loyalty points should miss out. If they've done the rounds and have enough loyalty points, they *deserve* a (derby) ticket.

Another thing. There are just as many none OSC members that travel away.(car, train, etc) People have various reasons for not attending all the away matches. There are very few OSC or none OSC members that attend every away match.

The gripe is about OSC members who don't have enough loyalty points, but still get a *derby* ticket because they are a member of a branch. (the proof of that is in numerous posts throughout this thread)

Let's put it another way. What's going to happen if City get to the Europa Cup final in Dublin? Is it 15,000 tickets? How are those tickets going to be distributed? Could be our first proper final since 76. Imagine the demand for that?

Yes I agree. The branches serve a purpose. However, OSC members should be treated no differently to none OSC members in my opinion. And vice versa.

I think the vast majority of none OSC members would just like a level playing field, especially when it comes to the Derby at OT, and possible future cup finals.

Just to highlight a point i made earlier in the thread re corporate season ticket holders and their right to priority on away tickets.

Once the ground is expanded, more and more seats will be sold as corporate and if they are sold with the same promise, priority on away tickets, finals etc, this issue is going to get bigger and bigger for the ordinary fan.

Serious thought needs to go into addressing this issue in my book.

Jrb, i know exactly where you are coming from, but what can you do? The only solution is what de niro suggests, pics on your ST, to match to your away ticket.

how about the club sells them directly to the supporter who qualifies, 1 ticket per person so if you give a ticket up it's yours and you're the only 1 who loses out.

After all, we cant have Blues getting tickets in their name and passing them on to someone else who might not have enough points to get them in their own right now can we?

no, but you sell your own ticket so it's your loss.
