Missing woman Nicola Bulley - inquest (P 158)

Often think the most boring explanation is the one that's probably right. The dog has probably got free from the harness or gone too near the river, she's gone to retrieve it from the water's edge and put the lead back on. At some point she's slipped and fallen in, and if the river's moving quickly then that's it.

When I was 8/9 years old and learning to ride a bike, I was cycling along the Mersey down by Burnage Rugby Club, just before you hit Parrs Wood. Took one hand off the handlebars and went down the bank straight into the river. My parents were there so they fished me out, but if I was on my own I'd have been fucked.

I never made a noise. It took 3/4 seconds to even realise what was happening, then once I hit the water I lost sense of myself. Thankfully it was a dry summer day so the water was slow and fairly shallow, because when it rains heavily the water comes right up to the banks and moves quickly. Could have easily been a goner.

Like I said, my dad fished me out and the worst that happened was I got a really nasty stomach bug from swallowing half the river (made the mistake of going to a City-Arsenal game the next day, the one where Lauren scored that really bizarre own goal, and missed half the game), but any colder/wetter and who knows.

Her poor family. Especially her daughters. There's nobody like mum in the whole universe.

A lot of people in this thread should be ashamed of themselves. Amateur detectives worsening the misery of her poor family.

Either they’ve missed the body or she’s been dumped there. Hopefully we will know what’s happened.

Riverbanks are not flush, and bodies of water are not empty under the waterline…

She went in the water when it was engorged due to heavy rain, and the water would’ve been filled with debris washed in.

Her body will have simply gotten caught in a void, or tangled in debris, only becoming visible now that the waters have receded.

It’s no secret that bodies pop up every year around bodies of water in late winter/early spring.

A mass of that size only a mile from the bench and neither police divers or an expert using high tech side scan sonar following an extensive search didn't ping it.

I doubt the body flowed sufficiently down stream to overcome the Weir and then flow up over it coming back again.

Something just not right for me.

A lot of people owe the Police a serious apology, the attitude to them in the case is a disgrace.
Why? They released sensitive personal info unnecessarily. At her funeral, everyone will be aware of the poor lady’s frailties. They were both incompetent and insensitive. Some ***t should be sacked but will doubtless be treated in the normal police way, culminating in an enhanced pension for early retirement.

Not if it is her and they didnt find her till a member of the public did , if it is her
The public always give them the leads, but they never doubted she was in the river, unlike the social media wankers speculating their bullshit and hurt a grieving family even more if possible, shame on them.

If this is her body then yes they do.
However, they handled the whole aftermath badly. They could have ignored the fuckwits but seem to have just made things worse in the aftermath of her disappearance.
They tried but the wankers took over the case, fucking weirdos in the world now, no all fuckers having too much to say.
