Missing woman Nicola Bulley - inquest (P 158)

The public always give them the leads, but they never doubted she was in the river, unlike the social media wankers speculating their bullshit and hurt a grieving family even more if possible, shame on them.
I agree with that but the police have not handled themselves very well even if she was always in there , anyway enough from me till we know more tomorrow

How do you know?

From the press or social media?

You like me haven't a clue what the police knew or discussed with the family.

A mass of that size only a mile from the bench and neither police divers or an expert using high tech side scan sonar following an extensive search didn't ping it.

I doubt the body flowed sufficiently down stream to overcome the Weir and then flow up over it coming back again.

Something just not right for me.
The Police Diver said had he been fully aware of the circumstances prior to searching, he would have searched differently.

Not sure what he meant by this.

Can't disagree with that, but the Police need to be able to distance themselves from fuckwits.
Very difficult in these weird times.

As said, too many idiots now have a public voice that other idiots listen to and take as gospel.

I have little time for the modern day police but in murder cases they are usually superb.

Riverbanks are not flush, and bodies of water are not empty under the waterline…

She went in the water when it was engorged due to heavy rain, and the water would’ve been filled with debris washed in.

Her body will have simply gotten caught in a void, or tangled in debris, only becoming visible now that the waters have receded.

It’s no secret that bodies pop up every year around bodies of water in late winter/early spring.
Again. Sonar would have found a body, even if covered in twigs

If this is her body then yes they do.
However, they handled the whole aftermath badly. They could have ignored the fuckwits but seem to have just made things worse in the aftermath of her disappearance.
I personally felt like they were victim shaming the poor woman.

I am not sure what need there was for making the poor lady private and personal struggles public knowledge. Must have been terribly distressing for her husband and family.

It was found downstream from St. Michaels well past the weir. Take a look at a map where Rawcliffe Road is parallel to the river and very close to it.
