The question was founded in my incredulity that despite the Police's claim that she had drowned in the river, they seemingly have not deployed the above mentioned resources to confirm or disaffirm their hypothesis.

Be very suprised if its the only dog in the country...had two unrelated dogs of different breeding that could find golf balls chucked into a canal. Not sure how rich a golf ball would smell to them but once plugged in the bottom they couldnt eyeball em. Also watched dogs swim underwater after rats making correct turns like they were on a scalelectric.
That said a kid missing for a few months last yr had the odd lot visiting the spot he was eventually found 4/5 times and the dogs drew a blank.

Police update: they have released an image of woman pushing a pram around 08:30 they would like to speak to she may have seen something or someone.

Has there been as big a publicity campaign for the man from Worsley /Walkden who has also gone missing?
He apparently went out for a walk and his phone, hat and headphones were found on the towpath beside the canal.
Was thinking the same myself. He’s been missing since just before new year hasn’t he?

Yes think it was 28th December and it only seems to be his wife, family, friends and neighbours who are looking for him.Was thinking the same myself. He’s been missing since just before new year hasn’t he?
Why no police involvement? Or maybe very little and we haven’t heard about it.
His things were found on the tow path. How must his family be feeling when they see all the headlines for this poor lady?
