Missing woman Nicola Bulley - inquest (P 158)

The police are totally wrong to say they are as good as ruling out foul play on the assumption she fell into the river. Such a statement means people switch off as they think the outcome is confirmed. If she did fall in surely some of the people in the vicinity would have heard her shouting and/or her dog barking? I think they have come to this conclusion as the areas covered by CCTV don't show any signs of her but I think there's a small area not covered. A very sad situation that I fear won't have a positive outcome.
Maybe they are just playing the media/ suspects?

They could possibly be luring any potential suspect into thinking they are ruling out foul play, if not it's very remiss to state this, as people will think the poor lady is in the river and will stop trying to remember if they saw anything, if they were in the vicinity.

In what way is it a fair trade?

Obviously it isn't. I was being overtly sarcastic at the moronic insensitivity of the money moaners.

I haven't carried delved through their accounts in a forensic way as I'm neither qualified or that bothered, but a quick google search shows all the money raised went to funding private investigations or suing the Portuguese cop.

People are entitled to campaign or donate for any causes they wish (besides criminal purposes e.g. Terrorism), it isn't really anybody else's business.

For some reason people get aggrieved at people raising money for purposes other than purely charitable (funds for specific individuals cannot be charitable, obviously you know this, but just putting it there for benefit of other readers).

Could possibly make a legitimate argument about their lobbying drawing funding away from investigations into other cases though.

Fair enough. Thought there was a chance you were being sarcastic , but decided, on balance, you weren’t, hence the question rather than anything more strident!

Is he still missing?

Falling into the Bridgewater canal in Worsley is not the same as falling into a flowing river.

Bridgewater is 6-8 ft deep and non flowing, a body in there is found straight away.
I can confirm,I was out almost as quick as I went in!

Im always struck at how people on here think falling in water affords time to shout, scream, attract attention, and how they cant understand why people are unable to get out of water. The canal thread was the same
