Missing woman Nicola Bulley - inquest (P 158)

The police have also used the week to view footage from cars in the vicinity and doorbell cameras.
That’s why I think they are using the “river” logic as seem to think they know all ways out of park were covered by some form of cctv.

Her dog may have got mud/dog shit on her or she may have had an issue with her doggy bags and she’s tried to wash it off. She’s left her phone on the bench to keep it away from the water/dirty hands and unfortunately fell in.

We used to have a mongrel that for whatever reason would roll around in horse shit given the chance. I remember one time my dad foolishly clambering out on some rocks on the river Mersey to wash it off. Both him an£ the dog.

Possibility.
Feasible, but surely you just put phone in a pocket, you wouldn’t risk leaving on a bench?

The dog was clean / dry.

I had a mongrel woman who used to love to roll around in horse shit as well. One time ,about 40 years ago, we had just given her a quick bath to generally clean her up.
We let her go outside to shake all the excess water off her coat, she managed to escape from us and when she returned an hour later, she was covered in fresh horse shit.
To say I went ballistic as an understatement,I had to repeat the whole washing routine again.
You'd probably think that I lived somewhere out in the sticks with all the horseshit about, but we were actually in
Middleton Junction, loads of horses and ponies kept on fields and paddocks around there, and lots of them used to ride ( and shit) past our house.

Agreed. It’s just so difficult to imagine, however, that she could accidentally slip into the water yet not leave a physical trace on the bank. Even bending down near the water to wash something would involve shifting the body’s weight in such a manner as to leave a print that would be distinguishable from others.
