Missing woman Nicola Bulley - inquest (P 158)

This story just shows up the media for what they are. If it was a black person or an asylym seeker who had gone missing they wouldn't give a shit.
Thousands of people (of all colours/genders etc) go missing each year and very few of them will make the news. This one has really only made the news due to the mystery of it all. If the dog had been wet and there had been slip marks down the river bank, you would have probably never heard of this case either.

Tbh mate, it was pretty obvious that, outside of the river theory, the most obvious explanation was the road. It’s literally a minute’s walk away and not covered by cctv. I know she was only out of sight for 10 mins but that’s more than enough time for other things to have happened.

If the road is that close to get to and it's not covered by CCTV it's very likely. I said earlier in the thread somebody she knew attracting her attention and pretending something drastic had happened, would have had her running in a panic in that direction. That panic would have superceded everything else in that moment, especially if they mentioned her kids. The dog still being there could be the fact it couldn't get out of a gate or barrier that was there as it followed her, so it ended up returning to the bench.

Her partner being so adamant she hasn't gone into the river probably comes from being told that by the expert diver that was brought in. It's interesting he appears to be doing more interviews now, probably pushed by the police. They will have body language experts and such scrutinising these for any signs he looks like he's lying. That may sound harsh but a partner is always under suspicion in such cases.

Story in the Independent:

A man whose brother went missing on the same stretch of river where Nicola Bulley disappeared but exactly 45 years earlier has shared his sympathies with her family.

Don Jones said “we know just what they must be going through,” as his brother Roger also vanished on January 27 close to the River Wyre near Preston in 1978.

Roger Jones was 16 when he was thrown into the river after a motorbike accident but was not found until two months later.

His brother told the Daily Star: “He was obviously swept over the weir and into the tidal part of the river.

“It was just a case of waiting for what seemed inevitable."

Mr Jones said river conditions were "pretty similar" to when the 45-year-old mother disappeared and that Roger was found seven miles away from St Michael's on Wyre - the town Ms Bulley was last seen.

Mr Jones said police and rescuers spent hours trying to find his brother but eventually his body washed up on a sandbank at low tide.

The Jones family was “exhausted,” from the efforts by the time the body was found, he said.

Roger, an aspiring farmer, had been a passenger on the motorbike when it crashed into a car on a narrow bridge in Woodplumpton. The driver had been knocked unconscious but people who rushed to the aid of him did not realise there had been a passenger and that Roger was in danger. It wasn’t until hours later that a search operation began for him.

Only one thing wrong with this story - Woodplumpton is 6 miles south of St. Michael's on Wyre and doesn't seem to have any river?

Over the course of 45 years streams that fed that stretch of the river could have dried up?

I think you’ll find it does, it’s called Woodplumpton Brook (I know it’s called a brook, but it is a fair size in places) and it enters in to the river Wyre.

So when it was first reported Willow was seen close to the bench and the Harness the harness was on the floor not the actual bench. Last night Paul Ansell clearly stated when he went to look for Nicola the harness was halfway down the embankment.

No don't think so, just an extremely poor piece of reporting. The bloke probably lived in Woodplumton and was travelling through St. Michaels at the time, the bridge though is below the weir.

Definitely changed from the original statement
