all played out of position, not good enough, no legs, or all 3

Seeing the dippers dispatch an injury hit Madrid with ease and then seeing us go all Mavis Riley on them to contrive to throw it all away yet again is very worrying. Pep can't blame it on injuries anymoreFrom best team in Europe. All the planning, plotting, shrewd deals, hunger, striving to join the elites - then joining them and even beating them. To this! 22nd in Europe and 5th and 15 points off the pace in the PL. Yes, even the elites have an occasional dip, but nothing like this collapse.
playing with one leg in a plaster-cast he would add dynamism to our Dads Army midfield
The complacency & planning, is on the management, guts, legs or both gone on the players. Rebuilding continues. We're you calling it that in 2023?
Our approach is right - but the personnel is either no longer capable of playing it, or isn't good enough to.
Match fixing at its finest :-(What is this constant need and urge to want to attack and to play out from the back, even when we are leading and there are a few minutes of the game left?
2-1 up. Ederson has the ball. Instead of holding on to the ball, wasting a bit of time, telling the players to get up the pitch, wasting a bit more time, forcing the Real Madrid players back up the pitch, out of our half, he takes a quick and short kick, and...
What has happened to us seeing games out, slowing games down, and taking our time at the end of the game when we're winning?
There's no need to constantly chase another goal. We're already winning! See the fucking game out. Waste time. Hoof the fucking ball into row Z. Do anything to not give the ball away, and to waste some time.
Frustrated rant over.
Not sure Pep has been tested like this before. He can’t seem to solve the defensive problem or get his ideas across at the moment. Still love the guy though.Seeing the dippers dispatch an injury hit Madrid with ease and then seeing us go all Mavis Riley on them to contrive to throw it all away yet again is very worrying. It's not Pep - for once he doesn't have good enough players plus depth in multiple positions. Not sure Pep has been tested like this before. He can’t seem to solve the defensive problem or get his ideas across at the moment. Still love the guy though.
Well losing, Jack, Akanji and more imporantly Ake to injury at crucial times last night didn't help, it forced changes to the system and postions that left us weaker tbf.Seeing the dippers dispatch an injury hit Madrid with ease and then seeing us go all Mavis Riley on them to contrive to throw it all away yet again is very worrying. Why won't we be tired next season?Tired legs and minds.
We'll be back next season.
Play the senior players, get knocked out let the new kids on the block have summer off, come back refreshed. Why won't we be tired next season?
World Club Cup is 14/07-13/08 with potentially 7 games most clubs aren't involved so they will get a nice rest.
Winning the Charity Shield was the problem..Play the senior players, get knocked out let the new kids on the block have summer off, come back refreshed.
Win the charity shield, etc etc etc
We've played Real Madrid many times and we were fortunate to be 2-1 up. We were set up defensively at home but that is not surprising given the way we have been playing. The one thing this side does have is fantastic attacking players but we went for caution because we are weak defensively.Simple, Peps loyalty over common sense with some of the old gaurd.
Terrible fortune with injuries each game.
A creeping lack of belief in the last 10 minutes which has come about from constantly balling up in the last 10 minutes.
Don’t know about the players, but I think it’s what I need to do.
