Misunderstood booing at half time..

People were a bit stupid in starting the booing a millisecond after the half time whistle. When it's done so quickly, it is always going to be interpreted by others as booing the players. Even worse, some of the players might think they are being booed. Clap the players off then start the booing when the ref is the only person left on the pitch.

On football first "city fans not happy they expect much more these days"

It was so fucking obvious who the boos were for but I think if we are going to boo the ref off, clap the players off first as the ref leaves the field after the players

No I was watching in Paraguay and the Spanish commentators said the referee was being booed by the City fans, so obviouslly the British media are still trying to find dissent and stir up potential problems for the team. Quite pathetic really. Ho hum :-)

anyone that thinks City fans were NOT booing the ref are either thick as two short planks, or they have AN AGENDA of some kind other than being honest brokers.

I can understand it if it's misinterpreted by someone in the studio or a commentator watching a live feed on a monitor i.e. not in the ground. I can't understand them saying we were booing the team if the commentator was in the ground, even if they were in a box/sound booth unless they can't sense the atmosphere with headphones on. Anyone with a decent co-commentator (See thread about itv coverage) would be updated by them on what's going on around the game whilst the commentator concentrates on describing the action.

I highly doubt every booing city fan was booing the ref.

When I heard it, I was thinking it was either fans booing the ref or a portion of our moronic 'support' booing the team like they regularly did early on last season.

Well I highly assume everyone was booing the ref. It was an abject performance worthy of being boo'd!!

Everyone was booing the ref , but I do worry that sometimes the nob heads pf the media will twist it into us showing our discontent with a performance. I do also worry that the players would percieve it wrong aswell , but it didn't seem to phase them as they went and won the game
