Thing about baseball . . . . it's a lllllllloooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg season. Can't ever get too up or too down about streaks/form. The game has a way of humbling everyone. A four game win/loss streak in any sport is usually something that impacts a whole season; in baseball, it almost never is.Mets' offense has been pretty dodgy honestly, Soto and Vientos in particular aren't producing as you'd expect. I'm sure both will come good eventually but it's frustrating right now.
On the other hand the staff has been unbelievable. Apparently the first in history to have five pitchers with ERAs under 3.15 and 40+ strikeouts through the first 8 games. I hope ownership is keeping a tight hold on Hefner as these guys are hardly born aces.
