I’m sure this’ll be the lead sports story on bbc sport for a good few days …

But it should get major traction in the US, and that they are part of a bigger group too.
I also assume this gets them into their equivalent of the Champions League, but I’m not sure if it includes South American teams as well (?)

Thought the quality of this match was really poor. Bloody awful pitch.
Portland should have been down to 10 men. The can throwing incident needs to be investigated.
The drama was excellent and the right result.
Interesting that NYFC were shit at corners.

I’m not trying to down play it. It’s great news for CFG. I was merely wondering how it would effect things CFG wise and it seems mostly by the US traction as you say.
