MLS / New York City thread

Yes, even if the effects were mostly local; bigger crowds, profile, prestige among the other NY sports teams in what must be a crowded marketplace would be a start I guess, in terms of making one key team in the group a lot more powerful.

I don’t follow US written media but it’d be interesting to see how the New York Times report on the group - whether they follow the largely negative line of their UK based correspondent Smith for example. I would have thought an outcome like this would be hard to ignore & that the team will be on for some kind of homecoming/parade.
Shame there’s nowhere to have an amazing stadium that wouldn’t cost the earth.

The dynasty rolls on.

Not often I get emotionality involved in anything but Manchester City , but that game took me on an emotional roller coaster. Camp-eones camp-eones ole ole ole

Delighted for them. Hopefully over time the noise from the asshole element of the fans will wane. Maybe they have already. Hopefully the vast majority are just happy in the fact that they have great owners with a real vision for how football should be played. (Same with the Melbourne City fans)

In any case I enjoy following them and their Melbournonianitesararians cousins.
