You seem to be slightly irate Stony, I'd have a breather if I was you.

Do you think I should start a thread about it?
As long as you don't have a woman if it gets pulled,

Steady on, I think it's my right as a poster to bristle with self-righteous indignation.

'Oh - I got a warning and a five minute ban and life is so unfair'.
Try being sidelined for half the fucking year, you whinging student knobsock.
Fucking lightweight.
Just deal with it and shut the fuck up moaning.
Oh you do bore me, it's cute though.

What if the duty moderator were to attach a little smiley face next to thread title to show level of approval. That would be a start. If for instance there was a big goofy grin on thread number one say, the moderator coming on duty would see this and know its low level. If he or she were to see a really really angry face on for instance a thread about soiled pants full attention would be required and the big guns called upon.

In spite of the sneering, sardonic manner which I deal with any posters deserving of my derision, I have never been banned and cannot for the life of me see why seemingly intelligent posters fall foul of this sanction so frequently.

There is certainly satisfaction to be derived in expressing your disdain whilst staying just on the right side of the line, which is far more enjoyable than descending into gratuitous insults.

As to the Mods they do a fine job. I do get a bit annoyed with threads being locked that have "run their course", but it hardly keeps me awake at night.

I have never been banned or warned. Do you think it's a class thing?

I had more "interaction" with the mods once I started hanging out with fetters until they realised I part of Rics fifth column.

I've had a warning but was deserved as I was pissed whilst posting.

unbelievable mard arse thread but i'll give it a go.

when we ban, (which is rare unless you are a right twat) we have a box in the banning process we have to include a "reason for ban" now i'll be honest i'm not savvy enough to know if that shows up on your profile, it does though show up on your user notes in the mod forum. I have never banned anyone without filling that in. even spammers or robots who the general poster never sees.

I don't agree we should have a set tariff for bans, if the banned poster has a decent record on the forum there is always a chance the ban will be overturned by the issuing mod. a few days off does the trick imo rather than issue a lenghy ban for a pissed up rant.
if that poster then comes on having a go for receiving said ban then i'd hoof him for the remainder and then some. just like I would with this op and his thinly disguised attack on the mod team.

of course a ban can be avoided by simply posting correctly, or as in most cases heeding the friendly pm that sometimes precedes a ban. should you get one of those pm's the wrong response is something like "fuck you you fucking jobsworth" which has been known.

I like the bit about the modding "has changed recently" well breaking news, so have the posters.

what do we do from here?
nothing. we carry on providing a forum for blues to discuss all things city and more.

any changes will be down to ric, he's not done too bad of a job over the time bluemoon has been around after all.
