Modern game annoyances.

Commentators who think that contact is the same as a foul and it "entitles" a player to choose to fall over.

Players that reach out and grab the ball with their hands to force the ref to give them a foul.

Phil Jones' face

People that think that not giving an early yellow card for a yellow card offence is good refereeing.
Especially agree about the first. Hoddle made a great point about how it's football not basketball. It's a contact game and contact does not mean a foul. You actually have to impede the other player.

Kicking the ball out is another thing I find strange. When it's a serious injury then everyone knows and stops the game, but if it's not a foul I don't see the need. In rugby nobody had a problem playing on when someone is injured. I remember getting a terrible fracture and everyone playing on. It's the culture of football I suppose.

In rugby league the injured player usually gets treatment on the field whilst the game is still going on. But then again there's no added time in rugby league so it makes sense to treat them there and then.

Ticket prices for sure.
Diving and all round shit-house acts on the pitch.
That little pedestal thing the ball is on at the start and the refs picks it up. What a load of fucking spunk that idea is.
Handshakes at the start.
Players wearing gloves.
Saw that yesterday, very silly.

Mike Jones nearly dropped it at Newcastle. Couldn't even do that properly.

-- Mon Jan 20, 2014 6:33 pm --

Posts which state the names and formation of the team the poster thinks should play in the next match.

Who cares which team you think should play?

JJ

Aye, it's usually. Good job you ain't manager then ;-)

Players (mainly foreign) who grab the ball prematurely before the ref has even blown for a foul. Does my head in!

Players shrieking when tackled. I have seen some bad injuries while playing, no one shrieked.

Not read the whole thread so it might have been brought up already.

When we were attacking yaya was down injured we carried on playing yet when Noone was down we stopped.. Surely, if our own player is down then we will want to stop the play not when an the opponent is down.

I think the reason why our players didn't stop for YaYa is because they know he's a big girl's blouse - built like a brick shithouse, but not very brave when it comes to minor knocks. When Zaba goes down, you know it is something serious, quite the opposite with YaYa!
