It's one thing to spend 100 million on a player because you've spent months scouting them and have decided that they're perfect for your system. It's quite another to spend over 100 million because "Oh shit, we don't have any midfielders. Quick, who's good?"

If they'd clearly spent the entire summer chasing him, fair enough, but this seems like another Lukaku to Chelsea in terms of how well thought through it is.
