How in the fuck can you bid £111m for a player doesn't even want to join you.
Liverpool show the way
How in the fuck can you bid £111m for a player doesn't even want to join you.
We have an excellent analytics team in house but Bloom at Brighton and Benham at Brentford are on another level and have made their Billions from these algorithms.I assuming we have a team of data analytics who has access to bloom algorithm and than the foot soldiers to do the rest. They are doing pretty good job but how can do many no mark rough diamonds players slip though their watch ?
I mean they seemed to do the same thing with Bellingham earlier in the window too. We didn't bid for Bellingham and I have no doubt we'd have been interested, but we presumably checked first and knew he was always going to Real.I’m baffled lol. How are you gonna pay £111M without getting the ok from the player. You just made yourselves look like absolute mugs and now everyone knows you have a chunk of change burning a hole in your pants.
Can only presume he’s reneged on joining them and Chelsea in his ear?How in the fuck can you bid £111m for a player doesn't even want to join you.
My ribs would never be the same again.Shame it's too late to register him to play.
Would be funny if he scored the winner for Chelsea.
Who was the proper gem we unearthed? If we were to sign someone of that profile the first comment here would be that he is a CFG signing.I read that we have a network of scouts containing 40 of them and they probably see such talents but we never buy them as we need instant success.Txiki&co I love you man but you got to sign the head of scout from brighton whoever the **** is , sign him up ffs.
Very interesting indeed. Thanks. We have an excellent analytics team in house but Bloom at Brighton and Benham at Brentford are on another level and have made their Billions from these algorithms.
The way Bloom does it there are various teams that analyse particular aspects. Everyone is an expert at their level but has no idea about the level either side. The only person that knows the lot is Bloom. His company is called Starlizard. Google it it’s an interesting read.
Yes I completely understand that city is on top of the food chain as of now and don’t have time taking risk hoping it’s a hit while fighting on all fronts and hence the cfg . If it’s all down to one company with algorithms that is dominating the game than the obvious question is , why not get that algorithm?Who was the proper gem we unearthed? wrong it's because liverpool is a shithole that's why they all live in manchesterIf I am guessing, I Caceido has personal terms already settled with Chelsea. And I ver Liverpool&s personal terms are significantly lower than what Chelsea offered.
So I understand why he is declining.
Sounds like Moneyball, great filmWe have an excellent analytics team in house but Bloom at Brighton and Benham at Brentford are on another level and have made their Billions from these algorithms.

Blow my own trumpet time...In my early days as an analyst (albeit in media marketing), I worked on an algorithm for exponential sales decay. We have an excellent analytics team in house but Bloom at Brighton and Benham at Brentford are on another level and have made their Billions from these algorithms.

Brilliant Film.Sounds like Moneyball, great film
Aw man I was getting towards the end of that and waiting for you to say you're fucking loaded.Blow my own trumpet time...In my early days as an analyst (albeit in media marketing), I worked on an algorithm for exponential sales decay.
I signed over the intellectual property to my employers at the time, who modified it to encompass more variables such as performance, value etc. and they then sold it on to a number of companies, including Starlizard and SAP, for an absolute fortune.
And that, ladies and gents, is why I'm not retired and can't be trusted to make any financial decisions in my house ever again...:-)
Still a very cool story.Blow my own trumpet time...In my early days as an analyst (albeit in media marketing), I worked on an algorithm for exponential sales decay.
