All three goals conceded could have been prevented, particularly the second and third, if the defence had pushed up the pitch three yards and played their attacker offside. It's one player running through on goal every time and one defender playing him on. Such an obvious issue. Do we even have a defensive coach?

Not even going to go into that decision. It's not the first time, and it'll not be the last I'm afraid.

Quite how, though, some of our own supporters could defend that as a non penalty is genuinely quite staggering.

Yeah 100%. Most people I know have these dodgy boxes now as it's too expensive to pay for sky/virgin with sky sports and bt sports added on.

The point of the away goals rule is, if anything, to obviate extra time. If Monaco wins 2-0, they go through. If they win 3-1, they go through. If they win 4-2, they go through. In essence, we've got to hold them to a draw of any sort, or, say 2-1. (Or beat them, hey, anything's possible)
