Same in the fa cup some grounds have VAR some dont. It seems to be the new fad in football different rules etc in the same round of matches.competition is descending into a farce some teams get home advantage, some teams don’t when they have a home tie.
I know we are in a pandemic, but I do prefer an even playing surface ;) . All neutral grounds or home and away, that fair.
Same with the fa cup use VAR in all matches or non at all.

Just is somehow fair. Like this both teams did not have a home advantage - if there is one during the pandemic. Gladbach would have had to go 14 days in quarantine after travelling to England.
When it is ruled like in the Liverpool-Leipzig match Gladbach has to pay a fine of about 1.5 million EUR to Manchester City because of that.

am sick of all the shit we have to go through with uefa. last min changes that was not in place before the knockout draw was done. if its not safe to travel then why are they traveling to another country in the first place

Don’t think the complaint is having to forfeit home advantage. The problem is they have caused us to have to travel long distances twice. Actually further than Germany. We really struggled v West Ham after going to Budapest for the first legDon't think we can really complain too much, given they had to forfeit home advantage in the first leg too.
