they're full of crap. it's all PR bull as they haven't managed to make any marquee signings so it's somehow our fault. yeah of course it is.

typical rag arrogance trying to make us look like a club who has no idea what it's doing and are they are being somehow shruder and more responsible than everybody else. well it isn't working, we can all see through it. this is the first time as a 27 year old following city that they've shown signs of concern about their near neighbours and frankly i love it. i hope they keep talking and we don't get baited into responding.

Another fuckin idiot who knows nothing about his own clubs History.
john henry davis saved them from bankruptcy & bought the the swamp for £60,000+ at a time when transfer fees were still around the £1,000 mark, the cost of construction only served to reinforce the club's "Moneybags United" epithet, with which they had been tarred since Davies had taken over as chairman.
How's that for irony,a club that exists mainly because of the money of ONEmega rich owner.

I remember Peter Swales saying something similar in the 1980s. He claimed at the time that City were making a stand on transfer fees and expected all clubs to support us by not paying relatively large transfer fees. What he did not say and what became obvious in the years that followed was that we had no money to pay transfer fees and that this was our only way of not falling further behind many of the other clubs. Obviously as City's history shows us no one took a blind bit of notice and we went steadill backwards. I just wonder if Gill remembers this as to me he has the same motives as Swales for coming out with this rubbish.

probably will cause a meltdown ...... for united. they have to meet their interest payments again, at least 80 million, and they should pay off the money that was loaned by 2012(?? maybe 2014 ), which probably means they need every other fucker to stop spending money to bring down the prices on players so they have a few spare coppers to buy someone in. well, they should have thought about that before. the glaziers are already trying to sell things to pay everything off. plonkers.

Another thing that they have to worry about is who can they sell in the future to bring in serious money. Not Berbaflop unless he suddenly finds a better touch than last season. Rooney is about the only saleable high value player they have left as defenders don't normally bring in big bucks unless they are seriously good and we want them. No matter how strapped for cash they are in the future no way will they sell us a qulality player. So they have no way of generating transfer funds from sales without weakening the team more than we have seen in the last month.

They wont pay the debt off by 2012/14,they MAY pay the interest off by then.

The reason that manu and others are concerned, and just trying to distract everyone from the real issues that may cause us problems in the future. and the one reason i feel sorry for "real" fans at manu being robbed blind by greedy americans.

Let's hope the bit -
there has been no public disclosure of who holds the £425m, the other £90m, or the high-interest £152m "payment in kind" loans
- is owned by our glorious leader and he pulls the plug on the rags first opportunity.
